The 5 best roads to drive a supercar near Marbella
The roads that make Marbella one of Europe's great driving cities. Curated by mileage, scenery and driving pleasure.
Marbella's geography is a driver's dream. Mountains, coast, cliff roads, switchbacks. Here are five drives we'd put any Five Star Rentals supercar on.
1. Marbella → Ronda (A-397)
The crown jewel. 50 km of switchbacks through the Sierra Bermeja, climbing from sea level to 750 m. Allow 2 hours. Lunch at Bardal in Ronda (one Michelin star).
2. Marbella → Istán (MA-427)
30 minutes north of Marbella. Beautiful cliffside road overlooking the reservoir. Half an hour each way — perfect to warm up the car before lunch.
3. The coast road N-340 to Estepona
Lower drama, higher views. 30 km west along the Mediterranean — perfect for convertibles. Stop at Beach House or Trocadero Arena for lunch.
4. Marbella → Mijas Pueblo
White village in the mountains. Quick 45-minute drive. The hilltop views are some of the best in Andalucía. Bring the family in the G63.
5. Marbella → Sotogrande
1 hour west along the AP-7. Lunch at Cala Sardina, polo or golf at Valderrama, marina at Puerto Sotogrande. The Aston Martin DBS does this route best.
